hahaha...G2' s dropping by..here's the pictures of our latest outing at Rebel, celebrating G3's birthday. It's been sometime since the 5 of us got together..though not as crazy n high, we still had fun! yeaHh..looking forward to the next one!

g1: leading a normal life with her work n her ah koh...think she keeps wanna have some aim or things she wanna achieve but she always feel very nua. hahaha, latest msn nick: she wanna learn pilates..

g2: leading a "nO life" life with all those idiotic kids bothering her everyday. however, she's glad that she's working towards her dream to become part of the music industry. she hopes one day, she can be nominated in "Golden melody awards"..hahaha! oh, and she's still waiting for her Mr Right to appear..feel free to intro some good guys!

g3: still struggling in her "news" job..but she just have to live with it until the economy gets better? she just spent a very sweet birthday with her family and Mr Low...chk out the bliss on her face...g2's so envious...

g4: ever since transferred to another sch, she's been so busy that talking cock on msn seemed like a very rare thing nowadays. G2 miss her! she complained about how much things she need to do, but she still do it conscientiously, going home at 7pm everyday.yeah..g4 jiayou!

g5: been quite troubled lately, and as usual, so overworked. g5, must stay happy! Goldies love your laughter! whatever g5 do, goldies will always support! next outing must come!

To answer g3's previous entries, Goldies are definitely becoming better women! cheers!

Obviously very very busy with work....

We haven't been dancing for quite some time, and in fact, we have been so preoccupied with work and LIFE that we haven't been living it up for a while now...

Although we do miss the good old crazy days, but I suppose every goldie is also working hard towards other aspects of our lives, be it career, love or upgrading ourselves, and er... becoming better women?

Haha...

But fear not, coz goldies are forever, and we will be meeting up next week!

haha..coz we weren't dancing for quite a long time, but yet we love one another's company...so we try to meet up every wk for simple dinners or stuff and have a BIG event each month. How great it sounds!

we did come up with a whole new dance recently, initially for a performance, but now due to some cockups, the performance was called off. sianzz..totally no motivation to complete our dance now...*sobz*

HeLLo?)surprisingly, i came across a tag from this PR company lookin for us to go for a dance audition for an event launch! lolz. at least we are still dancing okk...dancing with Goldies had been the most wonderful experience for me ever since i left NTU...=)

This is probably the last photo that we'll take together at the place... hee hee... we went back for the last shuffle round results show and as expected, didn't get into the Wildcard Round. But it's ok, because we had zero expectations, so there was no disappointment. Luckily didn't take leave! But it was nice to see the rest of the goldies again and we had a good crapping session thereafter at Causeway Point.

Anyway, this is definitely not the end of us!

Muahaha... the barbies from hell WILL ARISE FROM HELL AGAIN!

Yup, we are set to terrorize in April at a few events.

But seriously, we are like damn scared after knowing who are the other participants in this particular big size event, and the host is none other than Mr Elastic Mouth!

After talking to the the rest on Thurs, I realized Jess & Peiru did this uber bimbotic clip for the Vday interview clip! Hahaha... but as they have said, the question posted was "What was ur most memorable vday?" so how intellectual could it be?

Anyway I was thinking and my most memorable vday was when I was in JC Year 2. I had just gotten attached to ex-bf no. 2, and it was like the very first vday when I was attached... thus imagine the excitement and high expectations I had...

I met up with my then working bf at night (still in my school uniform lah!) and he secretly refuse to tell me where we would be going for dinner... I tagged along happily and guess where he brought me to...

FOODCOURT @ SCOTTS!!!

Other than feeling seriously disappointed and stunned (yes I couldn't believe it and refuse to accept that he wasn't bringing me anywhere else), and refused to eat. He took my refusal as I'm not hungry (although I was famished) and he happily bought his beef noodles to eat. In the end, I gave him my present in the not-at-all romantic foodcourt while he ate his beef noodles... what made it worse was he didn't prepare a present for me at all...and guess what his "reason" was?

He brought money out this morning to let me choose my own present, but before he came out of the house, his sister asked him to pay the phone bills so he spent all his money...

Wtf.

As you can guess, I didn't stay with him for long... although today, we still remain very good friends... and I can finally look back on that day and laugh about it...

So yup, this is my most memorable v-day and I bet it is more happening than the jess and peiru's "I received X many roses!"

I know this is like 3 weeks late, but I've been busy ... hahaha...

Anyway, I would like to thank everyone as well for the support and encouragement (plus all the dough you guys have spent!) throughout this journey. We felt the love and we are definitely touched. =)

And really I want to thank my darling babes for these...

When I saw all the photos of you girls working so hard to make these, I was really really touched!

Although I didn't weep tears of joy in front of you girls, but believe me, inside I'm sobbing deliriously... hee... I really want to thank you for spending all the time, lots of sweat and effort to make all these placards for me! It was such a waste that Mediacorp, being the very fucked up, screwed in organizing events, with total disregard and zero respect for everyone except themselves, made all of you squeezed in some corner which cannot be seen. Yes, despite the supposedly allocation of seats. *simmers with anger*

Anyway, I will keep the cards and they will always remind me of what great friends I have. =)

Digressing, I only managed to catch this week's shuffle rounds and all I can say is that we are damn suay lah.... hahaha...

As said, we're really not that upset about being out of the competition, but more of sorry to our families and friends. Can't help but feel we have disappointed them in one way or another. But like the rest of the goldies, I agree that we have gained much from this short journey. The friendship and bond between the goldies, the improvement we made with regards to dancing, the love we felt from our families & friends, and of course how much more resilient we are today. As the saying goes, "What doesn't kill you can only make you stonger", and indeed, the harsh criticisms and boo boos we received only served to make us tougher in spirit and mind! Thinking back, we can finally laugh at ourselves and more so, laugh at the whole episode with good nature!

We would like to wish all the teams best of luck and personally I am looking forward to seeing how creative everybody can get once the different themes are kicked in. Gambate!

Sad goldies........the results are out, and we are not the 2 teams that went in. Hmmmm... it's ok goldies, at least we know, our votes r among the highest!!!!! But the judges deny our chances to be in just becos we look like Barbies from hell? Hope somebody can do justice and check with the auditors.. but then, we don't want to look like sore losers :)

Anyway, we are so glad that BreakForce Crew and Vas & Pris made it to the final, cos they ROCK!!! They are great! Actually after all the harsh comments from the judges, our tolerance have notched up one level :) throw us more daggers knife, we can also take it le.

More important thing is, we get to know many new friends, esp ppl who share the same interest with us. the BFC (you guys r sensational!), the booty gals, lovely and chatty aunties and uncles from the Fascination, boy boy from JDI...just to name some... those who get in are really deserving so hope they train well and do us proud!

yet again, we are down, but not out! haha, some already hallucinating..(eg Yunn..) thinking that we may get in cos they want our $$$$... :) seriously, after the comments from the judges, who will vote? they have sent us out verbally! is that the way to hurt our faint little hearts? Nevertheless, hope we still have that glimpse of chance, to show what we have...we are not just barbies from hells, we are just good girls who listen to the choreographer and change our theme...but we did it wrong.. give us another chance, we will do much better!

The first audition

We had our very first meeting on 21st August 2006.

I remember it was after my kickboxing lesson. And back then in August, I haven't even started work. So apparently I was very bored and badly needed entertainment.

Subsequently, we picked our song (Too Much Bootie In The Pants!) and started coming up with steps. It went surprisingly smooth (I remember only the good things) and we started to have practices at least twice a week, and the practices intensified towards the last few weeks... Although we casually categorize our dance under hip hop, but any tom, dick and harry can see that we are not that hip hoppish hahaha...

What can I say, we just decided to heck care and conclude that our uber bright smiles plus youthful energy will be our only winning fomula. Muahahaha...

Unwilling to spend too much dough, we only bought the white top at Bugis and borrowed the army pants from the guys... good thing that we have many slim guys in hall muahaha... Fearing that the police will arrest us for wearing the national service uniform (or half of it), we decided to tell any stranger who ask that we bought the pants from dunno where...and the very lame and seemingly not funny joke about being dragged off the stage by the police (plus many other scenarios) while performing had to be repeated again and again and again.... and amazingly, we are able to laugh hysterically everytime... or was it only me???

23th September 06

Fearing that the rest of Singapore is darn kiasu and the queue will be darn long, we actually paid Huiqi's brother and his friends to start queuing for us at 12plus the night before!! In fact, we even mobilized the BF Club to take over the shift at 6 am in the morning. We ourselves reached at around 9am. But guess what, there wasn't even a queue until much later. Apparently, Singaporeans are not all kiasu. Or should I say, they are selectively kiasu. Grrrr...

Although we did get interviewed/shot but they didn't edit us in! Hrmph!

Personally I think I looked like shit that day... haha... terribly lack of sleep plus very bad hair day...

Ok quit digressing...

Seriously, we were uber stunned and esctatic when we knew we got through!!!! Those who watched the first episode of The Dance Floor would be able to catch glimpses of us hugging and jumping together like a bunch of crazy schoolgirls...

It was like the best present I got before starting work the following wednesday at The Firm!

Proj Superstar's finals just ended. woohoo, how nice it'll be if i get a chance to perform on the indoor stad's stage..facing such a large crowd of fans. (mi dreammmm~) the top 24 finalists went back and performed...i can't help but hope that the top 32 frm dancefloor will be given an opportunity to do an item on the grand finals. i mean..the whole thing last for like 2-3 hrs, the final 5 teams can't be dancing for like 4-5 times right? surely they will need some performances in between? hehhee..

oh well...but i'm sure the top 10 teams will be back on that day...top 32..hmm, a little hard to say. (get mi hint? hahaa...VOTE for us into top 10!!)

anw, if you guys are watching the Ch U trailer, "xiaozhu" luo zhi xiang is going to be special guest for this week's dancefloor!! I'mmmmm soooo ExCITedDddd!! i hope it's realli like on thur's results show and not wed's as in they just ask him to perform and then edit his part into wed's show...errrrr.....nononoo...

I wanna take pics with him! i wanna interact with him!! I wanna sing "shake it mama" to him!!

oh yah, 1 more sianz thing...we can't even watch our own dance on tv on wed! cozz we need to go for rehearsal...how disappointing! peeps, pls remember to watch okie?! n tell us how "jialat" we were.........ahhahaa...honestly, i'm starting to feel a little worried about our outcome this thur, i realli wanna get in, but i noe i can't expect anything...in mi heart, if i keep thinking there might be some miracle that we get in, then in real life...it won't happen. arghhz..the struggle..can u understd?

The Meaning Behind the Name

Why Gold Fac3 you may ask...

Well, as you guys know, all 5 of us are from NTU Hall 3 and thus we wanted an identity/name that connects us back to our roots.

When we were in our hall's special production, we used to come up with all kinds of name with the word/number/sound 3, e.g Trinity, Threesome, Triad, Factory....

One year, when we were doing Beauty World, the musical, our committee/production crew was called Reel Factory, which I feel is a pretty good name.

Thus, we did not copy, but improvise on the name to come up with Fac3.

And we needed something in front, so we decided to choose a colour...

And gold/yellow is our hall colour so need I say more?

And tada!!!!... This is the boring but intellectual start of Gold Fac3!!!

Hahaha...

Geez... what a boring entry hahahah....

We came up with all sorts of ridiculous names initially, from 1.6 (ala 183 club, although I think our average height is less than 1.6... probably the median though) to all kinds of silly terms that mainly came from Miss Lame Peiru. But seriously, my memory is failing me. Someone refresh my memory please.

It's been lk 4mths since we first got tog to prep for the auditions last sept. we've come a long way. way longer then wat we tot initially. i rem we joined e auds wif a let's-just-have-fun attitude. that was until we stepped on stage. fr then we've been really driven to do tis. (e lure of fame. hahas!) n so here we are, top 32!

It have been a long journey, half a year, from the first audition till now. i was "cheated" (haha, all becos HuiQi's dream to be a Star!!!) into this competition, thinking it was just another community competition we join for fun. And we passed the 1st audition, 2nd audition, and now into TOP 32.

indeed, it has been fun dancing with a bunch of non-stop giggly gals..i must share those memories...(hello! Goldies!!!can i talk this time?)
gee:) actually its not easy that we are mostly working, except Xiao bu dian (weixuan) and we have to rush from work to the very western side of the country to dance. we are like Cinderella, once the clock strikes 11, we have to "Qiong ah!!!!", if not we cant catch the train! and by time i reached home, its alrady 12 plus!! but then...its worth it! you know why? cos of the goldies gals!

haha, very funny and erking folks:) we seldom manage to practise without stopping halfway..sometimes to do " Yi Qi SamBa Wu" dance, sometimes paused to crack some jokes that been repeated a few times, sometimes to see Yunn to do the UGly "rain is coming down move"...most of the time..panting very loudly...y? cos we danced so hard! don't look down on us little gals, although most are small sized, when we dance, you better stay away hor...if not you will experience wind blowing, heart pumping, trees falling!!! haha, we don't really have much experience, much training in dance...we just simply love to dance! so we always practise hard, and we always punch very hard:) don't see us small, our punches can do damage ok? and usually when ones laugh, it will flow to the other, when one act, another will join,Huiqi they all cant stop acting u know? its not easy to express, but its really fun dancing with you, Goldies.

Who the GoLdies are...

GoLD fac 3...GoLD Fac 3...?? Still don't know who gold fac 3 is after looking at the pics? Well, here's an intro of the 5 babes to you ssssllllllloooooowwww peeps out there. hahah.

We were all from NTU Hall 3 dance team..though from different years, we got along very well and I have to say the team was the most happening cult grp in hall 3. As usual, what made dance practices enjoyable, it's our lame jokes. HAHA. Decided to form a all-gals team to join this competition coz choreo wise, we can go abit girlish and presentation wise, it'll be more synchronised and neat.

I present you GoLd Fac 3.....

Weixuan: our "smallest" team leader! actually, she got no choice because she's the only one who's still struggling in NTU..and thus, the most "eng" person to be leader. haha. A final yr accts student should be busy with her coursework and projects, but her love for dance made her decided to put aside many things and spend all her time and effort just for this competition. Though she's petite, don't underestimate her strength and energy when she dances! A cool girl she seemed initially, she's slowly following our footsteps to being lame...lolz.

Yunting: This lady here is super duper "uber" hyperactive! and she's crazy when she starts to get lame and crack all those jokes which..(okay lah, I admit i will try mi best to "pei he" her). A professional executive in the day, turns "bimbo" at nite (hahahahah!!!)...she dances well and her smile will make you forget that she's doing hip hop with a jazzy number. check out her body waves...wheeeee~~she's hot!

Huiqi: Yes, it's me! I'm the second smallest in the team! I love to say "bo liao" things which made me a perfect pair with yun, don't understand our joke? too bad! you're just not in the right league! Performing is in my blood and that explains why I'm actually the one who went to psycho all of them to join this competition. I've been dreaming of joining superstar, superband...now, mi dream has come true! Performing on national TV! Will all of you, my friends, let me continue with mi passion and dream....?

Peiru: She's the only one who got professional training...she can stretch, bend, fold, entangle...Err, in a nutshell, she's incredibly flexible!! She likes to force us to bend and stretch like we don't have backbone, can you imagine how scared we are? You won't believe she's a banker, coz what comes out of her mouth is always so funny and "dreamy"...(she insists that we are just girls-next-door who love to dance...gwah gwah gwah~~)

Jessica: Miss Fung is a teacher?! who will think she's a teacher?! A hot babe we got here, "jess-ass" is the hip and fashionable educator whom her primary sch kids go crazy over...a little boy even professed his love for her! With her photogenic smile and graceful style, you definitely wana see her more rite? (vote vote!!) She can act too and she loves to act! give her any script and you will get the exact expression you want...ready? camera rolling..ACTION!

The birth of Gold Fac3

It all started with one of our dance senior, Yanxuan...

She saw the ad on tv and probably very very innocently, asked Jessica to enter...

Jessica told Huiqi...

Huiqi invited me (I'm Yunn!)...

We roped in Weixuan...

who jio-ed Peiru...

and as they say, the rest is History....

I guess all of us started out on this journey not thinking of the consequences, which is a good thing, for we might never have started if we had been thinking so far.

We didn't think we will get through the first audition, nor the second... and we didn't think of what will happen on TV... we were in this purely out of our passion for dance (itching to dance together again), for fun, for pure boliao-ness... well just to enjoy ourselves.

And we did!

The nights and weekends we spent practising, the sweat and tears, the laughter and many many corny jokes (those who know us know how crazy we are...)

All these are cherished memories that I had shared with my fellow goldies.

I'm so glad we came so far together, and now is our turning point.
